New Youth European Champions are crowned!
The Kiteboard Open in Noordwijk hosted the Youth European Championships for the first time. The event was very well organized and offered a great program for water sports fans on and off the water.
With two days of good wind we managed to complete the U18, U16, U14 and girls division successfully. 59 Riders were showing great performance on the water and made clear that we can expect more action in the upcoming events.
At the girls division Spanish Rider Nina Font was in the final against Pippa van Iersel from the Netherlands. After a very close heat between these girls we are happy to crown Nina Font the new Youth European Champion in the girls division, followed by Pippa van Iersel with a great second place and Senne Bruijn from the Netherlands on position three.
At the U14 Hugo Metton from France won the small final against Duuk van Hees from the Netherlands. The big final was won by Oscar Perrineau from France which makes Joris Herrewijnen the Vice- European Champion at the U14 category.
On the first day it was the turn of the U16 and U18 boys. Javier Jimenez from Spain met Swiss Rider Maxence Chabloz in the losers final, where Maxence secured a place on the podium. At the final French Nino Liboni competed against Tom Bridge from the UK. Both riders did an excellent job and proved that they are both well-deserved in this final. In the end Tom Bridge won against Nino Liboni and is now the U16 European Champion 2016.
The final was very intense between Romain Giuliano (FRA) and Louka Pitot (FRA). In the end Core Team Rider Louka Pitot won and is now the U18 European Champion 2016.
We look back to a very successful and well organized event and would like to thank the whole Kiteboard Open Crew for the great host. Riders, their families and our team had a great time.
